You Steal My Sunshine

Yesterday I was so blah and bored with everything that I needed to brighten up my day! I went through my pendant drawer and saw this abstract flower (or sun) pendant and immediately felt inspired to make something bright! So here it is, my newest necklace titled "Steal my Sunshine". The colors make me smile! :)

Putting a face to the designs!

Ive been making jewelry for about 15 years now but have always been too shy to put my face to my work! I always sold online and never let anyone know who I was. I have no idea why??
Finally this year I have learned to take pride in my work and put myself out there! The hardest thing was telling my boyfriend! He likes to make fun of me (playfully of course) for everything so I thought I would never hear the end of it! We live together so he was wondering why I was spending hours a day in my "Office"/ crafts room so I finally had to give in and show him my work! Much to my surprise he was very encouraging and PROUD! After telling him I was happy to tell anyone who asked, my parents were surprisingly proud as well.

It feels so much better to out in the open about my hobby/craft. Anyone out there who might be iffy about sharing their work with the world, think again!

Hello everyone! I cant believe that summer is almost over and Christmas is right around the corner! I decided to come up with a new style of necklace called the "Boyfriend". It was inspired by my 13 year old little brother who wanted me to make him a "Surfer" style necklace for his trip to the beach this summer! Its nicely priced at $10 so it can be a perfect gift for your son, nephew, or boyfriend! I plan to come up with many more necklaces like this before Christmas comes around!

Well I figured I would give this blogging thing a try! Ive heard so much about it in the ETSY forums I figured why not? :) I love to create, I mostly use hemp but suprisingly rarely wear it anymore so Ive ventured into beading and other types of jewelry! My favorite new piece is a gorgeous stone put onto a sterling silver necklace and topped off with one of those little sterling silver Sparrow charms everyone is using right now!
